Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)

It is the policy of the Department of Transportation (DOT) that Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) shall have the maximum opportunity to participate in the performance of contracts financed in whole or in part with Federal funds. Consistent with its overall policy for Affirmative Action, it is hereby stated that the Southeastern Regional Transit Authority (SRTA) is committed to the utilization of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises as vendors, suppliers, and contractors – in all aspects of procurement and contracting – to the maximum extent feasible. As such, the SRTA’s goal for DBE participation for Federal Fiscal Years 2022-2027 shall be 2.27 percent of funds expended in U.S. Department of Transportation assisted contracts.

The goal, description of the methodology used to determine the goal, and the SRTA’s DBE Program Plan are available for inspection, by appointment, between 9:00AM and 4:00PM, Monday through Friday at the SRTA Administrative Office located at 700 Pleasant Street, Suite 530, New Bedford, MA 02740. Additionally, electronic copies can be requested via procurement@srtabus.com. Feedback, including questions or comments, will also be accepted via mail or electronically via procurement@srtabus.com.
